It all started with a modest goal in mind, lowering our impact on the environment and going green.
How can a company like A Plus Exterior go green you ask?
By lowering our rate of consumption with resources that are utilized on a day to day basis as well as recycling as much material as possible.
It began in 2010 with recycling the garbage and left-over material. Last year we managed to recycle over 100,000 lbs. of shingles alone, we also recycled the various metals, and even all of the card board boxes too.
How do we plan on lowering the amount of fuel we consume?
We are in the process of testing our own built array of solar cells which we plan on adding onto our fleet of work vehicles. The plan is to harness the power of the sun to charge the portable batteries that we use throughout our workdays.
Next, we're planning on expanding the size of the array and adding a battery bank to provide enough power consistently allowing us to run the seamless gutter machine without needing any gas generators.
